About Me

So a little about me. Well at the time of writing I am a 28 year old mechanical engineer with a full time role in a small company in Dublin. I have several interests from playing sports to TV, technology to history. But something I find as interesting as anything is investing.

So what qualifies me to tell you how to invest? Well, nothing! I'm just another one of you and all I hope to do with this blog is allow you to learn from the success and failure I have along the way. In general I think I am a pretty risk averse investor and I like to think out all of my investments before taking the plunge with my money. I plan to let you in on all of these thoughts and look forward to your feedback!

My current goal is to get to a place where my investment income is enough to cover my living costs along with a small surplus which will allow me to continue to grow my investment portfolio. Right now, I have already managed to buy my first apartment about 6 months ago, which has been a huge first step releasing me from the constant burden of rent, and now I have started looking at P2P lending platforms. I have invested a small amount as a trial in the largest European P2P lending platform, Mintos, and I will see how that goes before deciding to add anything more.

As I have already said, I have no qualifications to advise you how to invest your money. I am not a financial adviser and everything I say here, though I aim to be as objective as possible, is solely my opinion and experience. Any financial decisions you make are at your own risk.
